The Health Economics Manager is a key member of the Corporate Marketing team providing health economics support for Instrumentation Laboratory (IL) products, operating within IL’s Worldwide Corporate Headquarters. Reporting to the Clinical Marketing Manager, responsibilities will encompass: providing health economics support on key strategic products, developing calculators and strategies for clinical selling, analyzing scientific and industry trends, managing marketing trials and economic evaluations.
• Designs and monitors health economics studies that incorporate and reflect the value of IL products. • Develops calculators using data from scientific publications and internal resources • Works in collaboration with data analytics companies to define data mining and market research projects • Assists the Clinical Marketing Manager with the preparation of economic analyses of key products. • Develops value arguments into promotional tools for sales representative use. • Provides educational sessions to educate about health economics to affiliates. Min Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
• Scientific undergrad and MBA is required. Advanced Scientific/Technical degree is highly desirable (MS or PhD). • Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and any statistical software • A minimum of three years of prior work experience in a clinical laboratory or academic research setting is strongly preferred. Corporate experience a plus. • Knowledge of Health Economics is required with knowledge on Laboratory Medicine a plus.
