Summary of Job Function: Responsible for the maintenance of video and endoscopic equipment and other equipment as listed: Supports the Operating Room by cleaning flat surfaces, obtaining supplies and equipment as needed and transporting specimens to the laboratory. Also transports patients to/from the Operating Room Services utilizing Video Equipment and Endoscopes: GYN, NEURO, ORTHO, VASCULAR, ENT, THORACIC, GENERAL SURGERY, OPTHALMOLOGY. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of Trade/Vocational School with specialized training in Video/Endoscopic equipment, JIT supplies, electrical equipment, Tourniquet, Tables, Suction, Mid Gas Tanks and Electronics Technical Training. BLS is required.
One to three years hospital experience preferred. Hospital Bio-med/Electrical Safety experience preferred
