Summary of Job Function: This position is under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. To anticipate the surgeon's need and expedite the procedure thereby minimizing the patient's exposure to trauma intra-operatively: Know the procedure, know how to read the surgical schedule, Check surgeon's preference card and written routine, Check room and equipment Equipment technical coordinator will have the skillset to clean and maintain equipment in good working order, and will be able to maintain preventive maintenance schedules. Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a surgical technician program highly desired, or will have strong clinical background.. Certification and enrollment in a professional organization desired. One to three years hospital related experience required.
BLS within six months of hire.
One to three years hospital experience preferred. Hospital Bio-med/Electrical Safety experience preferred
