The NAM LD Marketing Scientific and Clinical Affairs team is comprised of health care professionals with terminal degrees (MD or PhD) acting as clinical consultants to provide both internal and external support for disease state, assay specific, and/or technical topics directly related to the field of diagnostic medicine. The team is field based keeping normal business office hours in their respective time zones (0800 – 1700) when they are not traveling to visit customers or provide support for internal meetings and events. Content Review and Development
Clinical & Technical Consultations can be given for both internal Siemens employees or external customers (current or potential) in a variety of in person and remote methods. A consultation is an engagement that falls into one of the following categories: customer call, customer visit, e-mail, field presentation, internal call, internal meeting, or webinar.
Content Review & Development is necessary for broader messaging and education to both the internal Siemens employees and customers in the field. The Scientific and Clinical Affairs team is a vital part of planning, creation, and maintenance for all clinical collateral.
Building Expertise or professional development is vital for maintaining the appropriate knowledge base to support internal and external consultative engagements. The Scientific and Clinical Affairs team is expected to build their expertise in relevant topics as detailed below.
Education Requirements: PhD required, preferably in the basic or health sciences. BS in medical technology and clinical laboratory science preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting with demonstrated clinical expertise and technical responsibilities.
Location: Position is field based with candidate located in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.
Well qualified candidates should be proactive, self-motivated, and able to travel up to 70% of the time. The ideal candidate will have excellent presentation and communication skills.
